Graduating Seniors, as you prepare to leave the halls of high school and you experience your last fleeting moments of childhood, know that life is going to force you to grow up. It may come at you in a series of moments, or it may be one single event. On June 2, 2001, I received my diploma from high school and was sent out into the world. It was only a few months after that I indeed became an adult on September 11th. I know many of you may know exactly what you want to do next. You have been greatly prepared for forming your career path……but’s that’s not what I want to talk to you about. You don’t need me for that. However, as you pursue your different fields of endeavor, whether that be college, military, the workforce, or even starting a company, I want to you start to understand something. There are certain skills that the world is going to expect you to know to take your planned career path and skyrocket up the corporate ladder of success. For many of us older people, we had to learn most of these things by trial and error. So today I want to share with you some of the things that may help you on your journey and to give you a head start amongst your peers, so we can begin to brag about you and show people what excellence honestly looks like.

Make sure you use a day planner
